It’s no secret that cooking is not my forte but, when it comes to baking and making desserts, I’m your girl! For some reason measuring every ingredient to perfection and mixing relaxes me so much.
One of my favorite desserts is the Carlota de Limon. A Mexican dessert that is simple to make, and doesn’t require baking. So put your oven mitt away because all you need is space in your refrigerator.
Ingredients:
2 sleeves of Galleta Maria
1 can of evaporated milk
1 can of condensed milk
6 limes
*Optional
Strawberries
Caramel
Squeeze the limes into a cup and make sure there is no seeds.
Mix the cans of evaporated milk, condensed milk and lime juice and blend for a thick consistency.
In a glass baking dish layer the Galletas Maria and pour the mix between every layer.
Repeat until you layered all of the cookies and poured all of the mix…
Refrigerate for approximately 4 hours.
Optional – Top with slices of strawberry or drizzle some caramel… Enjoy!
