Today I will be sharing how I make chocolate covered strawberries. Super easy, I promise.
All you need is:
- A box of fresh strawberries
- Chocolate Chips
- Wilton Chocolate Melter or Microwave safe dish
- Parchment paper
- Sprinkles or White Chocolate (optional)
First, you want to select the strawberries that are ripe. Wash your strawberries and gently dry with a paper towel. Let the strawberries air dry. You want to insure they are fully dry so the strawberries don’t clump up the melted chocolate.
I invested in a chocolate melting pot. Being a chocolate covered fan… best purchase ever! There are plenty of tricks to melting chocolate without a melting pot on Google and Youtube.
I pour the entire bag of chocolate chips in the melting pot. While on the melting setting I stir occasionally. Folding the melting chocolate over itself.
Once the chocolate is melted, I grab a strawberry and dip it once in the chocolate. Then place it on wax paper to cool.
If the artist in you leaps to attention. Time to put on those fancy pants. Tip your dipped strawberries with some sprinkles as you can see in the picture. Or other toppings. Such as sliced almonds, walnuts, or even drizzle some melted (*same technique) white chocolate.
I used a for this time and made it super easy. Just dip the for in the white chocolate and let the melted white chocolate drip and drizzle on the cooling chocolate strawberry, Jackson Pollock.
Almost done, place them in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
You know what the final step is… enjoy, you earned it.
